Readathon: We held our first Muff NS readathon in January, with visits from a storyteller, an author and an illustrator. We also visited Carrickmacross library. The children read an amazing 4,070 books during this event and we hope that they continue to read with the same enthusiasm and rate for the rest of the year. We celebrated this achievement with a school assembly where the children performed poems, song and told us about some of their favourite books. We also held our winners raffle, with Matthew Rogers winning the big prize on the day. Well done to all the children who took part and made this event a huge success. We would like to thank our Parents Association for their generous contribution towards the main prize!
